Monday's the Big Day

Moving day is fast approaching. Auntie has been running hither and thither like mad for the past month or so; moving furniture and boxes upon boxes upon boxes of stuff! And, still there is need for a great big moving truck on Monday.
Phew!
Of course, I've been waiting until it is absolutely necessary to get my stuff out of here so that I needn't worry about it where it's being stored. Poor Auntie, though! Uncle has been working and helping Auntie, too, so I'm certain he'll be glad when it's all said and done.
I'll have my own space again, and that is what I'm looking forward to. A space for silence, solitude and a third chance to get into my craft once more. You know? Really throw myself into it. That'll be great! I'll have a little time before the Faerie Workshop to get some more research done, get things in order and finalize everything with Anam Cara.
In other news, the weather becoming more friendly. I can work all day without feeling like collapsing, enjoy my evenings, sleep well and comfortably, and enjoy my days off. I must admit, the pounding rain that left me sopping wet by the second hour of work today brought the faint scent of the coming Fall. And I simply adored it! The sweet smell of damp earth mixing with the exposed layers of decomposing leaves...heaven on earth, I tell you whut!
That'll have to be all for now. After all, I've got a busy two days ahead of me! Thank you for the well wishes and comments!

Busy Little Bee? That's me!

Farm labor five days a week keeps me strong, healthy, (unfortunately) very tan, active and out of the house, or most any other man-made structure (except the barns, of course). However, it also keeps me busy, tired and hot to the point where it's all I can do to go straight home, don my swimsuit and trek over to Sis's apartment for an hour-long dip. After that, I'm pretty much useless to the world. I consider myself lucky on those nights if I had the foresight earlier in the week to make rice to nuke with veggies for dinner. I just don't have the kind of energy Auntie has when it comes to preparing and cooking for myself. The easier the better, but Goddess forbid I ever go back to grabbing frozen pizzas or other preservative-filled, frozen entrees! I don't want that anymore; I'd rather go to bed without dinner. It's been so hot and I've been so exhausted, I have gone to bed without dinner a few times already this summer. (It helped that I wasn't hungry.)
Imagine my surprise when I went to the beauty salon with Auntie and Sis for haircuts, agreed to collaborate and co-run a workshop on Working with Faeries in Magickal Practice and go to a birthday party the other day! Oh, right, I'm also packing to move in two weeks and was present for the birth of our newest little cria (baby alpaca) on the farm. We're getting a truck to start moving some of our immense amount of stuff tomorrow, then again next Monday.
So, why am I sitting here typing up this update for you friends, when I really should be packing? Well, I haven't been online for about a week, now (and this sweltering heat is keeping me low to the ground and sitting directly on the cool tile of my bedroom floor.) Being a witch blog, I shun myself for not posting a lick about Lammas, or the wondrous Full Moon we had last week, or the random scents and gifts the Fae have bestowed upon me, seeing Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince with my father, etc., etc., et al. I'm hoping things will be worlds easier once the move has transpired and I will have only work in the cooler, Autumn air to contend with my Pagan practise. We shall see.
I hope everyone had a marvelous Lammas, full of delicious harvest treats and happy, contented hearts! Remember, the Almanac asks of us tomorrow: " Carry Colored Glass." Goddess knows why, but try it and let me know the effects. The only colored glass I have that I could carry I fear would shatter and cut me. I shall have to gather some on the beach once the tourists have departed, I suppose, so I am not caught without next time.
Merry Meet and Merry Part, my patient readers!
