Pessimistic Seabird

"Huh?" you say, "Pessimistic seabird? What has that got to do with anything?"
Tern for the worst. It's a joke I made up a few months ago. I love it! :P
So, as Wizardess said in my original post about OKCupid, you meet some no-gos. The fella in the Midwest has become a no-go. My feelings have changed (yes, it's only been a week...), and I told him so. At first, he seemed ok with it. Then, I received another email after one I'd sent him telling him how glad I was that we could still be friends.
Well! Let me just tell you! "Friends" doesn't even look like an option anymore. *shrugs* Oh well. At least he's almost a thousand miles away from me and doesn't have my addresses. Too bad, really; he would have been a fun friend to have.

Other news! I'm off for the next two days after an hellishly humid week on the farm. Phew! I came home today, had a swim with Auntie, then enjoyed the lovely thunderstorm, which is now just sunny drizzle. *^_^* And I say to myself, "What a wonderful world."
The weekend is open, whatever shall I do? I suppose a new video is in order, as I said I'd make one a few days ago and have yet to fulfill that promise. :/

Glowing Buckets

Here I am, an half an hour away from my short commute to work, and I am sweating buckets!
But, you know, women don't sweat, we "glow."
I blame the random cup of instant coffee. It's too hot to boil the water, let alone drink the molten liquid! Yet, here I sit, glowing in a hot, caffeine-induced mess.
...
Okay, that sounds gross. Just, don't read that aloud.

ANYWAY!
I'm feeling a bit punchy, today. I have many things to accomplish at work, hope to do at least one video for my YouTube channel tonight (it has been so very, very long...), possibly watch the most recent episodes of True Blood and The IT Crowd (maybe so Doctor Who...?) and still go to bed by 9.
We'll see what happens.
As far as witchy-ness goes, well, no rituals lately, but I had an incredibly relaxing day at the beach last week, preceded and followed by a bike ride through the woods to get to and from the canal, respectively...obviously.
Plans to catch everyone up later are in the making. So, stay tuned. *~_^*

For Those of You Wondering

A few weeks ago, I finally told the guy I've been eying that he could call me if he wanted. He didn't, end of story. Really I'm not bummed at all. Quite on the contrary, actually! I've been so hopeful of finding a gentleman who enjoys dressing in Regency and/or Victorian clothing and acting with grace and decorum, but Craigslist doesn't really cater to my sort of dream fella. Realizing this, I had sort of resigned to the fact that, being the superficial kind of girl I am, the sort of historically enthusiastic man I'm looking for may not exist after all. You can imagine how saddened I was when this revelation turned in my head. My heart concurred and sunk.
"But why," argued my soul, "why couldn't he exist? You've only been searching Craigslist. Not a great deal of research there." I was being chastised by my own spirit! Happily, I agreed and lightened up knowing my hope and spirit had not been broken and conquered all along! Randomly, I clicked an ad (I think that's what happened...) for the site called OKCupid. It's free, so why not? I registered and created a minimal profile. After a little searching, I saw a few guys, but only one or two had grabbed my attention; one lives in the Midwest. Resigning, again to the thought that maybe this wasn't such a great idea, I turned off my computer and went to bed. The next day, what should I find but that very gentleman from the Midwest had sent me a message. He must have seen that I had visited his profile. Anyway, he was interested enough in me by what he'd read on my profile that he emailed me. Without giving any further details, let me tell you, dear, loyal readers: it is such a joy getting to know this man! I must admit that I am a bit twitterpated. *^_^* It has only been a few days that we've been communicating, but each time we do, what fun! What great happiness I feel and wide grins I display!
I thought, darling friends, you should know this.
